What Cooking Taught Me About Website Design

This weekend I tried recreating a dish from one of my favorite local restaurants Federal American Grill. I didn’t have the exact recipe for their Lemon Basil Salmon Bowl, but I knew what I liked. I got close and added my own twist.

I used Copper River salmon, seared it in a hot cast iron skillet for crispy skin, and then finished it in the oven. It wasn’t identical to the restaurant version, but it was still pretty darn good and tasted great.

Home made Salmon Salad

As I was plating it up, it hit me: Just like I recreated a dish I love by putting my own spin on it, businesses can do the same with their websites. At Upstream Marketing we share detailed case studies that walk through the strategy behind the sites we build complete with screenshots, layout ideas, and the thinking behind each decision.

Get Inspired by Real-World Examples
