The year is flying by and before you know it we will be in the thick of the holiday season, are you ready? Is your website updated and welcoming to new customers? We are into the fourth quarter and now is the time to prepare for the busy season ahead.
I help small businesses and B2B companies refresh and update their websites. So often it is something people often forget to update. As their business advances and changes, their website needs to change too.
As you start to think about whether your web page is a good reflection of your business ask yourself these questions:
One of the tips I give to clients is to “Begin with the End.” What is the purpose of my website and what do I want it to do? What results do I want to see?
Everything on your website, including design, functionality, and content, should help convey your purpose.
As you review your site, are you promoting what you can do for your customer? They care about the results you will get for them, not your history and success. Turning your products and technology and all the details about your business into how they will help your customer is key.
With a little time and effort, you can turn your website into an effective sales and marketing tool.
In our next post, we will discuss your perfect niche and your ideal customer.
