If you have not been on LinkedIn today, you will be surprised to see some of the changes called The New LinkedIn.
The update which began rolling out on today, includes a new profile pages look, many new features and updated LinkedIn Apps.
Below are some of the features of The New LinkedIn that stood out for me.
Your LinkedIn profile is updated with a larger photo. (For those of you who still try and connect with me who don’t have a head shot or graphic, it’s time to get one)
The profile editing page is easier to use. The goal from LinkedIn is getting users to update their profiles more oftennot just when they’re looking for a job, but when they have a new accomplishment to share.
When you visit a connection’s page you can see at a glance what you might have in common with that person.
The Skill Endorsement that LinkedIn rolled out last month have also been made simpler, and members can now endorse specific skills for people in their network with one click. I appreciate everyone who has already endorsed me.
Your activity is now at the top of the profile, to encourage members to interact on a more regular basis.
Members can also now filter through their connections connections with a search feature, allowing them to find people with specific skills to network with.
Direct from LinkedIn here is a video of The New LinkedIn. FYI, the video is 40+ minutes long.
Let me know your thoughts of The New LinkedIn.
