Skype’s Newest Features

SkypeAre you on Skype?  Did you know you now have several new features?

On March 14, Skype updated Skype for web with a bunch of new features.  You can now watch YouTube videos, ad non-Skype users, get notifications and call mobile phones and landlines.

It now lets you:

  • Call mobile phones and landlines – for a low fee.
  • Watch YouTube videos – allows viewers to watch the video and stay within the Skype window. Users never need to open a new browser.
  • Add Non-Skype users to calls or conversations.
  • Receive notifications – so you never miss a call or important messages.

The part I like the most is the ability to call landlines and other phones.  I’m wondering if this will make people use Skype on the Web more often and for longer periods of time?   What do you think?  Have you tested any of the new features yet?

If you haven’t tried Skype yet, try Skype for Web now—web.skype.com.
