OTC 2013 Attendance Surpasses 100,000

It was great see friends, current clients and past clients at OTC 2013.

If you attended any of the first three days you know how crowded the show floors and sessions were.

Attendance at OTC 2013 reached a 30-year high of 104,800, the second highest in show history and up 17% from last year.

Attendance surpassed the 2012 total of 89,400 and the sold-out exhibition was the largest in show history.

Amazingly OTC 2013 had 2,728 companies representing 40 countries, including 244 new exhibitors in 2013. International companies made up 39% of exhibitors.

As usual, we had many updated websites that were done in time for OTC.   Others are being finished this week so companies can follow up with their booth visitors and announce their new website.

One company who’s website went live before OTC 2013 was OMRON Oilfield & Marine.

Website address:  www.oilfield.omron.com

A new product that  OMRON Oilfield & Marine  introduced at OTC is their Advanced Automated Drilling System PRECISE.  You can read more about PRECISE by clicking here.

OMRON  had the PRECISE Drilling System at OTC 2013, so I had to give it a try.

With 4 monitors and easy to use joystick controls, I can only imagine what it would be like to use a chair like this to view and control 4 websites.

In an earlier OTC 2013 blog post I wrote about the new OTC 2013 App.  I used the app throughout the show to find specific exhibitors.  I found it to be a time saver compared to using the 10lb  OTC Show guide and Exhibitor Map that I could never fold back right.

I hope everyone had a great OTC 2013.

If you were an exhibitor or met a potential new customer at a networking event, don’t forget to follow up.  Too many companies spend a pretty penny to be at OTC and then don’t have a follow up plan in place for after OTC.

Just in case you were wondering OTC 2014 will be May 5-8, 2014.
