How often do you take the time to sit down and read? Many of us put reading on hold while we are doing other things. Today is National Read a Book Day.
What is the last book you read? I’m currently reading Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss. Tim also wrote the 4 hour work week some time ago.
Life can certainly throw us curves that pull us away from reading, but today, let’s celebrate National Read a Book Day by making some time in your busy life to read.
Doesn’t matter what kind of book you read, it can be a mystery, an autobiography, a sci-fi thriller, a how-to book or any other kind of book you can get your hands on. Just find a book and settle in for a half hour or reading.
National Read a Book Day is a great reminder that entertainment is not limited to screen time or listening.
Books can take us places we have never been, teach us things and provide new perspectives in a way other mediums cannot.
I love technology and I’m very dependent on my phone, but today I am putting the screen-based communication aside.
Speaking of reading, I wrote a book that might be of interest to you.
I wrote the book because I wanted to share my online marketing and web development knowledge with my clients. My book 52 Tips To Turn Your Website Into A Sales Machine is only 64 pages, so it’s an easy read and requires no programming or design skills.
I walk you through everything step-by-step from “What’s the Purpose of Your Website” to “Why Content is King,” Photography and “Tech Talk.”
My goal was to help business owners to understand what it takes to have a successful website.
So for now, I’m unplugging for a while and taking time to sit down and read. Won’t you join me?
