Google Homepage Advertising

Want to reach 183 million people with your advertisement?

Google’s plain, white home page, the most-viewed Web site on the Internet, would be where your ad would have to run…

On Tuesday, Google took full advantage of their home page, for themselves.

Google is running an ad on Google.com for the Nexus 7, its 7-inch, $199 tablet computer that competes with Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

I saw the Nexus 7 tablet popping up from the bottom of the page and it says “The playground is open. The new $199 tablet from Google.”

Clicking the link takes you to the Google Play store to buy the Nexus 7 and see a promotion for the other things the store sells.

I personally like Google because the home page is clean of all the ads and noise that Yahoo.com has.  Ever been on Yahoo.com and the right hand side ad takes over the entire screen for a brief couple of seconds?

When the ad finally goes away on the Google home page, we can all look forward to seeing what unique way they will display the Google logo.
