Instead of the normal website design tip or latest social media tool, I thought I would open this blog up for people to post their favorite memory of their Dad.
Father’s Day is this Sunday, June. 17th.
Here is one of my favorite memories of my Dad:
My father wore a suit and tie to work every day that I can remember. He was always professionally dressed during the week. Weekends were a totally different story. My dad loved to do yard work. Living in Houston with it’s high temperatures and high humidity, yard work almost anytime of year can be hard. My dad’s favorite yard work outfit was an old business shirt with the sleeves cut half way off, baggy worn blue jeans, work boots and a big straw hat. One Saturday, my sister and I were at an event at our high school (Memorial High School) and we needed to be picked up…. so here comes my dad in his Weekend Yard Work clothes. He gets out to help put our stuff in the trunk and we turned to those waiting around for their parents and said “Mom must have sent the gardener, to pick us up.” He loved to tell this story. Father like son. If you see me on a weekend, I’m normally in my yard working in a old white business shirt, blue jeans, work boots and a baseball cap with one of my client’s logo on it.
You are welcome to share your favorite memory of your dad in the comments below.
Happy Father’s Day.
