Don’t Lose Your Customers

Make it easy for your website visitor to find what they are looking for.

This tip is important for manufacturer’s representatives and distributors that offer many different products from different manufacturers.  You may have some visitors to your site that are looking for a specific product.   They want to be able to search for the type of product.    Others coming to the site may be quite familiar with the manufacturer’s logo and want to find out what manufacturers a distributor or representative represents.

An Excellent Example

ConfuseA website that does an excellent job directing their website audience in the right direction is Wm Neundorfer & Co.   www.wmneundorfer.com   WMN is an established distributor and manufactures rep for the Bulk Materials Handling, Storage Equipment, Systems and more.

When you visit the home page of their site you see a list of the main product categories so if you are one that wants to search by a particular type of product, you can.  Click on the product category and you see that category page. The second thing you see is a list of the manufacturers they represent.  You can click any manufacturer and you will see their page on the WMN site.

No confusion here.   WMN does an excellent job directing their website audience to the page they are looking for quite efficiently.

Take into consideration what your customers are looking for when they come to your site and make sure it is easy to find.
