First, what is a Call to Action: A call-to-action is an image or line of text that prompts your web visitors to action? It is, quite literally, a “call” to take an “action.”
Your call to action could be anything from request a quote, sign up for our newsletter, attend a webinar, download a tip sheet, click to call, buy now, Share, Like, etc.
So why use them? Because you want to tap into the reader’s emotion and get them to complete some action. And when you do, you need to focus your Call to Action on what it will bring you customer, not on your product. You need to create a need in them, a reason why they need to pursue your product, or how pursuing your product will help THEM.
Call to Actions don’t need to be very complicated. They only need to tell your visitors what to do.
Make sure the Call to Action clearly tells them what they’re getting in exchange for their action.
