What to Write When You Have Writer’s Block

Even the best of writers don’t always feel like writing.  But sometimes you have to just take a break and other times you have to work through it.   You can’t let writer’s block hold you back from writing for too long.

Acknowledge it happens and keep these ideas handy:

Use “Top Five” Lists.

Or top seven or ten.  Whatever works for you.  It could be the top 5 uses for something, or the top 10 salespeople in your company, or the top 7 customers.   You decide what you are focusing on.  They are easy to write and easy to read.

Use Winning Headlines

Keep these headlines in your back pocket:

“How to ______,”

“Why _____ works,”

“Why people love ______,”

“How to get started _____.”

Product Reviews

If you like it, chances are, your readers will too. Same goes for if you don’t like it!  Tell people your thoughts and recommendations.

Ask for Ideas

Ask your readers what they want. You might be surprised at what they want you to write about.
